The European Commission has declared 2010 ‘The European year for combating poverty and social exclusion’. Though unemployment and poverty keeps on rising. Jobs are increasingly more precarious and underpaid. Answers are necessary!
We will meet on the eve of the ‘World Day for the Refusal of Misery’ in Brussels.

Die Europäische Kommission hat das Jahr 2010 als das “Europäische Jahr zur Bekämpfung von Armut und Ausgrenzung” ausgerufen. Doch Erwerbslosigkeit und Armut nehmen zu. Jobs sind zunehmend prekär und unterbezahlt. Das braucht eine Antwort! Am Vorabend des Welttags zur Abschaffung der Armut treffen wir uns deshalb in Brüssel.

Europese conferentie op 16 & 17 oktober 2010
De Europese Commissie riep 2010 uit tot ‘Europees jaar van de bestrijding van de armoede en sociale uitsluiting’. Werkloosheid en armoede stijgen echter. Steeds meer jobs zijn onzeker en onderbetaald. Een antwoord is nodig! We spreken af in Brussel op de vooravond van de jaarlijkse ‘Wereldarmoededag’.
